Histoplasmosis is a pulmonary and haematogenous disease caused by Histoplasma capsulatum.

It is often chronic and usually follows an asymptomatic primary infection.

The symptoms are those of pneumonia or non-specific chronic disease.

It is clearly a fungal disease!

A fungus that rarely causes pneumonia or chronic airway inflammation with similar fungi.

The characteristics of the disease are unclear symptoms and poor treatability.

The latency can be several weeks. Often the lungs become diseased.
